About the Role:
The Operations & Support Services Manager is responsible for the effective
oversight and coordination of key operational support functions across the
organisation. This includes fleet and asset management, reception and
front-of-house services, and property coordination.
The role ensures that all operational support services are delivered efficiently,
consistently, and in alignment with organisational priorities, compliance
requirements, and funding obligations. It provides leadership to support teams,
strengthens systems and processes, and ensures a high standard of service that
enables frontline programs to operate effectively across all sites.
Working closely with the Corporate Services Team to ensure maintaining safe, functional, and
well-managed environments, while driving continuous improvement and supporting
organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of operational support services across all sites,
ensuring efficient and consistent service delivery
- Support frontline programs by proactively identifying and removing operational barriers to enable
effective and uninterrupted service delivery
Project Management
- Provide leadership and oversight of organisational projects, including infrastructure
upgrades, site developments, and operational initiatives
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver projects within agreed scope, timelines, and budget
Fleet & Asset Management
- Provide strategic oversight of fleet operations, ensuring optimal utilisation, compliance, and cost efficiency
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset registers and tracking systems across all sites
Front-of-House Services
- Provide leadership and oversight of reception and front-of-house operations at Head Office
- Ensure the delivery of a professional, culturally safe, and welcoming environment for all visitors, clients, and stakeholders
General Duties
- Be available to take up additional responsibility as directed by Executive Team
- Attend and participate in internal and external meetings
Professional Development
- Participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) evaluation and activities.
- Participate and engage in ongoing professional development and staff training need analysis.
Health & Safety
- Work in a healthy and safe manner and encourage the team to do the same.
- Be aware of and adhere to OH&S and Health & Wellbeing policies and procedures.
Physical Demands
- This position requires driving and sitting for extended periods of time, operating office
equipment, climbing stairs, at times lifting, and other related physical demands. Staff are responsible to only undertake physical duties they deem safe.

- Maintain team boundaries and confidentiality in a professional and respectful manner.
- Represent, promote and/or deliver the program/s in a professional high-quality manner.
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in an operations manager position (minimum of 3 years)
- Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and commitment to the Aboriginal community
- Ability to provide leadership and line management supervision to a team of specialist workers
- Demonstrated skills in management
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi skilled team
- Skills in working independently, with initiative and as a team member
- Willingness and ability to work within and contribute to the vision, purpose and core values of the organisation.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Current Victorian driver’s licence
- National Police Certificate (not older than 3 months)
- Victorian Employment Working with Children Check
