About Us

Shooting Stars was founded in 2015 and is the main initiative of Glass Jar Australia (GJA), a non-for-profit organisation under Netball WA. Shooting Stars is an education-based program in more than 20 sites across Western and South Australia for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls and young women to help to thrive at school, strengthen cultural identity, and build bright futures.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and values-driven Regional Manager to lead program delivery across our Southwest region which includes Kiara College (Perth CBD), Collie and Narrogin.

As Regional Manager, you’ll provide leadership, support and direction to local program staff while building strong relationships with schools, communities and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the delivery of the Shooting Stars program across the Southwest region
  • Managing, mentoring and developing a high-performing team
  • Building strong partnerships with schools, families and community stakeholders
  • Monitoring program outcomes and reporting on impact
  • Supporting community engagement, events and participant activities
  • Ensuring programs are delivered in a culturally safe and meaningful way

  • Previous experience in education, youth, community services or a related field (Essential)
  • Previous experience working with Aboriginal young people, families and communities will be highly regarded
  • Previous experience in leadership and team management (Essential)
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving abilities
  • A willingness to travel throughout the region (Essential)
  • Current valid WA Driver’s Licence (Essential)
  • Current valid WA Working with Children Check (Essential)
  • National Police Check (Essential)
  • Department of Education Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (Essential)
