About the role:

This role is responsible for monitoring food safety and production activities to ensure compliance with quality systems and regulatory standards at My Muscle Chef. It supports the implementation, ongoing monitoring, and continuous improvement of food safety and product quality processes across the production lifecycle, from receivals through to dispatch.

The position also involves completing verification activities aligned with HACCP, GMP, SQF, customer requirements, and other statutory standards, as well as occasionally liaising with suppliers and internal or external stakeholders. Responsibilities may be adjusted based on business needs, and the role includes on-the-job training with a competency assessment upon completion.


Key Responsibilities but not limited too:

  • Ensure quality, food safety systems and processes conform to MYMC standards and all Federal and State legislation inclusive of brand SQF and HACCP Plans review & maintenance.
  • Maintain HACCP prerequisite programs for the site that includes but not limited to approved supplier program, foreign object control, staff training, control of non-conforming products etc.
  • Assist in daily activities covering project coordination with various stake holders (internal and external)
  • Drive site continuous improvement program by proactively managing Site Corrective and Preventative Action program via efficient and effective communication to the Manager and all other relevant key stake holders. All non-conformances to be closed out within a timely manner to prevent re-occurrences.
  • Actively engage in food safety and quality tasks as required within the MYMC NPD process such as trials, artwork review and approval.
  • Participate in food safety related validation/verification protocol on products, process and equipment as prescribed by the business requirements.

 Skills & Experience:

  • Qualifies in GMP, HACCP or related discipline.
  • Experience in a similar role within the food industry for at least 3 years, experience in the food manufacturing industry would be highly desirable.
  • An understanding of key industry food standards (including packaging).
  • Support and be available for all internal or external food safety auditing qualification.
  • Competency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • A commitment to the principles of food safety and drive to uphold those principles.
