Cabinetry Estimator / Draftsperson

Oceanview Cabinets Pty Ltd is a locally owned and operated cabinetry manufacturer based in Kunda Park on the Sunshine Coast. Established in 2010, we specialise in the design and manufacture of high-quality custom cabinetry for residential and commercial projects. With a close-knit team of nine, we pride ourselves on craftsmanship, reliability, and strong relationships with our builders and clients.

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetry Estimator / Draftsperson to join our manufacturing team in Kunda Park, Queensland. This role is predominantly focused on estimating and project costing, procurement and with drafting responsibilities available for the right multiskilled candidate. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cabinetry design and estimation, enabling them to effectively support our production processes and enhance our service delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cabinetry estimates and quotations based on client specifications and design requirements.
• Interpret architectural drawings and project documentation
• Liaise with builders, clients, and internal production staff regarding scope and pricing
• Maintain and update costings, materials, and labour allowances
• Procurement of hardware and materials through online supplier platforms and email correspondence
• Generating Purchase Orders for contractors
• Assist with cabinetry drafting and shop drawings (for candidates with drafting capability)
• Support smooth handover from estimating to production

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a cabinetry estimator or draftsperson, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for accurate estimation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and team members.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Relevant qualifications in cabinetry or a related field are advantageous.
