Expressions of Interest for Aged Care Support Worker

We are seeking Expressions of Interest for the role of Aged Care Support Worker in Newcastle, Port Stephens, Lake Macquarie, Hunter and Central Coast, New South Wales.

This position is ideal for individuals passionate about providing high-quality support to older people and seniors in both community and home settings.

As an Aged Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their safety and well-being while respecting their dignity and independence.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and support to older individuals in accordance with their individual care plans.
• Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication management, and personal hygiene.
• Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity while promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
• Work collaboratively with other team members and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in their condition to the appropriate personnel.
• Adhere to all safety and quality care standards, ensuring a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Respect client confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries at all times.

Qualifications:

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
• Experience supporting older people and seniors in community and home settings.
• Experience working with people living with disability and complex needs.
• Competency in using smartphones and mobile devices with internet access.
• Commitment to quality care and a safety-first approach.
• Understanding of professional boundaries, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
