Overview
We are seeking an experienced Solutions
Architect who can think beyond the obvious, challenge weak assumptions, and
design technology solutions that are secure, scalable, commercially sound, and
built for long-term use.
This is not a passive architecture role.
We are looking for someone who brings genuine intellectual depth, can connect
business intent to technical reality, and naturally takes ownership of solution
quality from concept through to implementation.
You will work closely with stakeholders,
delivery teams, and business leaders to shape practical architectures across
applications, integrations, infrastructure, and data. The right person will
combine strategic thinking with hands-on architectural discipline and will be
confident operating in an environment where clarity, sound judgement, and high
standards matter.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution
Design
- Design end-to-end
technology solutions aligned to business objectives and operational needs
- Define
clear architecture across applications, integrations, infrastructure,
security, and data flows
- Produce
solutions that are scalable, maintainable, resilient, and future-ready
- Identify
downstream impacts early rather than waiting for issues to emerge during
delivery
Technical Leadership
- Guide
development and project teams on architecture direction, patterns, and
best practice
- Review
solution designs and implementation approaches to ensure quality and
consistency
- Challenge
incomplete thinking, surface risks early, and improve technical
decision-making
- Act as
a trusted architectural voice across both technical and non-technical audiences
Cloud, Infrastructure &
Platforms
- Design
fit-for-purpose solutions across Azure and on-premise environments
- Improve
reliability, performance, availability, and operational sustainability
- Recommend
technologies and tools based on real business use cases, not trends
- Ensure
architecture choices support long-term maintainability and controlled
growth
Integration & Data
- Define
robust integration strategies across internal and external platforms
- Design
APIs, service interactions, and data exchange mechanisms
- Ensure
systems communicate cleanly, securely, and efficiently
- Support
strong data architecture decisions that reduce friction and improve
visibility
Security, Risk & Governance
- Embed
security and governance requirements into architecture from the outset
- Ensure
solutions align with compliance, control, and risk expectations
- Identify
architectural weaknesses, delivery risks, and technical debt before they
become operational problems
- Contribute
to disciplined design documentation and decision traceability
Documentation & Stakeholder
Communication
- Produce
clear architecture artefacts, diagrams, and supporting design
documentation
- Translate
complex technical concepts into language business stakeholders can
understand
- Support
planning, prioritisation, and structured technical decision-making
- Help
create alignment across delivery, business, and leadership teams
What We’re Looking For
- Proven
experience as a Solutions Architect or in a similar architecture
leadership role
- Strong
grasp of system design, solution architecture, and integration principles
- Demonstrated
experience with Microsoft Azure
- Strong
understanding of APIs, data flows, and cross-platform integration design
- Ability
to balance technical excellence with business practicality
- Confidence
engaging with stakeholders at different levels of technical maturity
- A
thinker who looks deeper, asks better questions, and improves outcomes
rather than merely progressing tasks
Nice to Have
- Experience
with modern development frameworks, platforms, and tooling
- Familiarity
with DevOps, CI/CD, and release discipline
- Experience
in regulated industries such as financial services or healthcare
- Relevant
cloud or architecture certifications
