The Role:

To provide overall leadership and oversight of day‑to‑day operations, ensuring consistent alignment with organisational strategy, commercial objectives, and long‑term growth plans. The role is accountable for setting the standard for operational excellence, establishing a high‑performance culture, and enabling sustainable, scalable delivery across the business.

As the architect of operational execution, this role translates strategic vision into robust, efficient, and repeatable processes that support growth, enhance capability, and drive performance while maintaining stability, quality, and risk discipline as the organisation evolves.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading company operations with a particular emphasis and oversight on but not limited to, Strategic Planning and Execution, Project delivery, Operations Financial performance, Production and Supply Chain, Team development and growth, Compliance and Risk management
  • Operations focused productivity and accountability, ensuring team members can thrive and consistently meet organisational targets
  • Collaborating with internal and external networks and stakeholders, ensuring alignment of strategic outcomes and driving a proactive approach to organisational development
  • Directing the development of robust systems and processes to accommodate growth, leading to optimised workflows, accurate budget reporting, and increased margins
  • Introducing actions that redesign organisational structures, processes, systems and reporting for improved output and informed decision making
  • Establishing plans for the infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate for the growth and development objectives of the organisation
  • Adopting a commercial and risk management lens to the development of models for the organisation, operating in a complex and highly regulated environment
  • Focusing on employee empowerment, risk management, and continuous improvement to build an organisation that can withstand growth pains, ultimately contributing to long-term success and profitability
  • Influencing teams to best channel resources and organisational capability, while providing complete clarity on the execution of established strategies
  • Providing guidance and motivation to a team of passionate departmental leaders, supporting their professional growth, development and contribution to the overall strategy

Skills & Experience:

  • Qualifications and training in a related field e.g., business administration, operations, coupled with extensive experience in a senior management position is preferred
  • Highly capable and well versed in driving continuous improvement and change at scale
  • Confident implementing strategies that drive the delivery of efficient and effective services in a medium sized organisation
  • Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management experience with the ability to collaborate, manage and get the best out of diverse disciplined teams
  • A deep understanding of business planning, regulatory compliance, financial analysis, and industry-specific operations
  • Outstanding interpersonal, leadership and influencing skills needed to build strong and trusted relationships with strategic stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple, often conflicting, priorities
  • Confident in the preparation of comprehensive reporting and project documentation with the ability to interpret complex information for stakeholders including senior leadership and executive level personnel
  • A willingness to align attitude and mindset with the intrinsic values and principles of the organisation
  • Proficient in the use of contemporary ERP systems, CRM platforms, MS office suite and business intelligence software essential for performance tracking
