We’re looking for an exceptional Client Strategy & Growth Director with extensive social media agency experience to help shape the future of The Social CliQ. This is a senior leadership role combining client strategy, commercial growth, business development and people leadership.

Working closely with our Managing Director and General Manager, you’ll lead the front end of every client relationship—from pitching and onboarding through to strategic direction—before empowering our Account Management team to execute exceptional work. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving agency growth, leading our client strategy function and developing a high-performing client services team while helping shape the future success of both our clients and our agency.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading pitches, proposals and RFP responses with compelling organic and paid social strategies
  • Developing persuasive presentations that convert prospects into long-term clients
  • Partnering with the Managing Director and General Manager to drive agency growth and new business opportunities
  • Creating integrated social strategies spanning organic, paid, creator and community management
  • Leading strategic onboarding for all new clients to establish strong foundations for success
  • Leading strategic thinking across a portfolio of social-first clients, ensuring best-in-class service, measurable outcomes and long-term client success
  • Providing strategic direction and guidance to Account Managers to ensure flawless execution
  • Overseeing client service standards, account performance and strategic delivery across the agency
  • Acting as the senior strategic lead across Tier 1 client relationships and managing complex client conversations
  • Mentoring, developing and inspiring a team of Account Managers and Social Media Coordinators
  • Managing client profitability through forecasting, utilisation, time tracking and project performance
  • Overseeing client budgets, commercial performance and invoicing
  • Identifying opportunities to grow existing client partnerships through additional services and campaigns
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and development as the agency continues to grow

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience within a social media agency, or the social media division of a digital or integrated agency
  • Proven experience leading and winning new business pitches and presentations
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing client service teams within a social media agency
  • Strong expertise across both organic and paid social strategy, including Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Google
  • Proven commercial accountability for client profitability, retention and growth
  • Extensive experience managing complex client relationships and acting as a senior strategic advisor
