As the Project Manager QLD, you will oversee Mega Electrics’ projects within Queensland and other states. The role will provide leadership and management to Mega Electrics and its staff across QLD, and will be responsible for driving growth, profitability, and quality initiatives, ensuring that business objectives are met. You will work in partnership with Mega Electrics’ senior and executive leadership team to undertake activities that drive consistency, continuous improvement, and growth of the Mega Electrics AUS business nationally.

As the Project Manager QLD, you will oversee Mega electrics’ projects within Queensland and other states. The role will provide leadership and management to Mega Electrics and staff across QLD, and responsible for driving growth, profitability, and quality initiatives, ensuring that business objectives are met. Your role will work in partnership with Mega electrics’ senior and executive leadership team to undertake activities that drive consistency, continuous improvement, and growth of the Mega Electrics AUS business nationally.

Responsibilities and Authorities

• Direct and manage all activity of staff and sub-contractors on site.

• Supervising and coordinating teams to meet project goals.

• Be available to work “Hands on” with precision and good manual dexterity.

• Purchase, allocate and coordinate materials on worksites.

• Inspecting completed work to ensure high standard of quality workmanship.

• Ensuring that projects are completed on time and within the allocated budget with a hands-on approach where required.

• Preparation and direct supervision for major shutdown works as required with the electrical team.

• Ensuring projects are carried out safely and in accordance with company processes and systems.

• Ensuring workers understand and are complying with the company Safety Management System, WH&S legislation and internal operating systems.

• Ensuring quality control of documentation and paperwork is completed during the project process.

• Ensuring completed installations are correctly documented with results and certificates of compliance forwarded to management in a timely fashion.

• Liaising with key-Stakeholders, company’s Leadership Team, accounts and HR.

• Knowledge of electrotechnics and Australian Standards.

• Excellent knowledge of medium voltage installations.

• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

• Ability to build, install and maintain electrical systems.

• Ability to assemble and wire electrical control and power distribution panels in construction and industrial settings.

• Knowledge of electrician’s tools and instruments.

• Estimation on quotes.

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients.

• Maintain up to date knowledge of trends/technology of the industry.

• Knowledge of electrotechnics and Australian Standards.

• Maintain up to date knowledge of trends/technology of the industry.

• Performing all work and associated functions in a safe manner.

• Complying with all documented policies and procedures and verbal instructions.

• Complying with all relevant legislation.

• Correctly using and maintaining all personal protective clothing and equipment supplied.

• Identifying safety and environmental hazards, conducting risk assessments, and implementing control measures.

• Establishing and maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness within the business.

• Reporting and assisting with the investigation of all incidents in the workplace.

• Maintaining and upholding the excellent reputation of Mega Electrics by representing the company and displaying respect and integrity.

• Reporting of non-conforming products and services.

• Attending any toolbox, team talks, or specific training supplied.

• Working in a manner that will not endanger yourself or others or harm the environment.

Qualifications/Competencies

Essential

• Electrical Licence.

• Manual Drivers Licence.

• White Card (General Construction Induction).

• 3 Years’ experience in supervisory role.

• 5 Years’ experience in construction industry.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• 1 Years’ experience in estimating.

• 3 Years’ experience in waste water and infrastructure projects.

Desirable

• Experience in SimPRO.

• Experience in Procore.

• Diploma in project management or higher.
