Project Manager – Melbourne Office Relocation & Fit-Out

Join MIPS and lead a high-profile office relocation and workplace transformation project from strategy through to delivery.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of a major office relocation and fit-out initiative. This is a hands-on role requiring strong project leadership, stakeholder management and commercial capability to deliver a seamless workplace experience for our people, designed in collaboration with them.

Working closely with executive leadership, People & Culture, Facilities, Technology, Finance and external partners, you will coordinate all phases of the project including workplace planning, design, procurement, construction, technology integration, relocation activities and operational readiness.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, can confidently manage multiple moving parts and knows how to keep stakeholders aligned, engaged and accountable throughout a complex project lifecycle.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the delivery of a full office relocation and workplace fit-out project from inception to completion
  • Manage project plans, budgets, timelines, risks and governance frameworks
  • Coordinate trades, contractors, consultants, landlords and workplace vendors
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across the business including Executive Leadership, Technology, Facilities, Finance and People & Culture
  • Facilitate steering committees, project reporting and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Drive workplace change and employee engagement initiatives including staff surveys, communications and transition planning
  • Ensure all operational, technology and workplace requirements are delivered prior to go-live
  • Monitor project performance to ensure delivery is on time, within budget and aligned to business objectives

 

About You

You are an experienced Project Manager with proven success delivering corporate office relocations and fit-out projects within complex organisational environments.

 

You bring:

  • Strong end-to-end project delivery experience across workplace relocation and fit-out projects
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, engage and build trust across all levels
  • Experience coordinating trades, contractors and third-party vendors
  • Strong commercial and financial management capability
  • Confidence operating autonomously while navigating competing priorities
  • A collaborative and engaging approach that aligns with MIPS’ people-first culture

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working across operational business environments
  • Exposure to workplace change management and employee engagement initiatives
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, Property or related discipline
  • PMP, Prince2 or similar certification highly regarded
