About the role – This is a 2 month contract role to start ASAP.
As a Member Service Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting our Member Services team during our busy annual renewal period. Supporting our members via phone and e-mail, this role will ensure the smooth collection and processing of policy renewal payments, while assisting members with policy payment enquiries via inbound and outbound calls.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to Member enquiries in accordance with the department’s established processes and service standards within the appropriate authority levels.
- Provide regular administrative support to the various functions of the department and from the broader division.
- Day to day management of high volumes of incoming emails and allocating of these emails to appropriate staff using SharePoint.
- Process Student and Final Year Student/Intern new business applications in accordance with established procedures.
- Daily collection of premium through running direct debits, BPay and Web payments and the relevant follow up for failed payments.
- Member Management and payment processing using inhouse systems and processes.
- Generation of relevant documents and communication in meeting compliance expectations.
- Action follow-up activities in a timely manner in accordance with department procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up to date Member records in accordance with department procedures.
- Action Third Party Online Services/Hospital requests in accordance with department procedures
- General administrative duties as required.
- To operate within delegated authority and comply with legal, regulatory obligations and requirements of our internal policies and procedures.
- Identify, manage and monitor risks associated with the MDA National group and its business.
- Compliance with the policies and procedures of MDA National including statutory policies. Completion of any training and associated assessments identified as a requirement of the position.
Skills and Experience
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confidence and maturity to communicate to a professional audience.
- Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for delivering superior service.
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
- Tech savvy, strong computer literacy and the ability to use multiple platforms and screens
- Quick and capable learner with a strong attention to detail including the ability to get
- things right the first time.
- 2 years’ experience in a customer service/office administrative role highly desirable.
- RG146/Tier 2 qualification desired
- Previous experience within a member-based organisation, particularly in the healthcare or financial services industry would be advantageous.
- Sound computer literacy with high quality and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment is desirable.
