The Role
The Assistant Case Manager role is responsible for supporting the Dental Claims & Investigation Management team in the following by investigating and conducting allocated matters, undertaking file
reviews and ensure efficient progress of matters in accordance with documented protocols.
Responsibilities:
- ·Investigate and progress allocated dental legal matters in a timely, accurate and efficient manner in accordance with organisational protocols.
- ·Ensure matters are actively managed, updated and progressed in line with documented procedures,
service standards and timeframes.
- ·Respond professionally to enquiries from members, in-house legal staff, external lawyers, dental experts and independent experts.
- ·Conduct regular file reviews and recommend appropriate follow-up actions to support effective case
outcomes.
- ·Support Dental Case Managers in the management of dental legal matters as directed, including administrative and operational assistance.
- ·Liaise with the Underwriting team to ensure underwriting protocols are adhered to in decision-making processes.
- ·Maintain strict compliance with AHPRA requirements and relevant regulatory obligations at all times.
- ·Ensure accurate, complete and consistent use of the Case Management System (CMS) for
recording, monitoring and reporting matters.
- ·Identify opportunities to enhance proactive file management and contribute to improved case management practices.
- ·Review policies, procedures, processes and file lifecycles, and contribute to recommendations and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
- ·At least 3 years’ experience in a claims support role in the healthcare, insurance or legal sector.
- ·Experience with personal injury claims is highly desirable.
- Formal insurance and/or legal qualifications would be beneficial, but not essential.
- ·Proactive, results-oriented, approaches challenges with a positive mindset and strong work ethic.
- ·Ability to adapt, embrace change and continuously develop new skills to support organisational growth.
- ·Excellent time management & workflow prioritisation to consistently meet deadlines.
- ·Collaborative and effective communicator, build and maintain strong relationships with teams and
stakeholders across the organisation.
- Demonstrates accountability, embraces feedback and navigates challenges thoughtfully & constructively.
