About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and adaptable team member to join us on a parental leave contract. This is a varied, hands-on role combining administration, purchasing, and sales support – ideal for someone who enjoys multitasking and being involved in multiple areas of the business. This role is initially offered as a 12-month parental leave contract, with the potential to become ongoing based on performance and business needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support to the team
  • Process orders, invoices, and job documentation with accuracy
  • Manage purchasing of production materials, including sheet metal, extrusion, hardware, packaging, and miscellaneous items
  • Liaise with suppliers to place orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Expedite deliveries to meet production schedules and proactively manage potential delays
  • Monitor and negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and trading terms to ensure cost efficiency and supply continuity
  • Manage inbound enquiries via phone, email, and in-person from customers
  • Process customer orders efficiently and accurately
  • Provide basic sales support and assist with customer enquiries
  • Maintain accurate records within internal systems
  • Support day-to-day office operations

 

About You

  • Previous experience in administration, purchasing, and/or customer service
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central is advantageous
  • Experience in manufacturing, sheet metal, or a trade environment is highly regarded
