The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Legal Secretary to join our Planning and Environment team in Brisbane. This is a well-established practice within a national firm, offering stable, long-term support work in a collaborative team environment.
The Role
You’ll be part of an experienced team with established systems and administrative support. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reporting
- Preparing invoices and responding to billing queries
- Managing calendars and scheduling meetings
- File and document management, including emails and correspondence
- Handling incoming and outgoing calls
- Liaising with clients, lawyers, barristers and partners
- Opening new files and conducting conflict checks
- General administrative support as required
About You
- At least 2 years’ experience in a legal secretary or PA role (or similar professional services environment)
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
- Able to build working relationships with colleagues and clients
- Good time management and reliability
- Proactive and comfortable taking initiative
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Experience with NetDocuments or Practice Evolve is helpful but not essential
This role is best suited to someone looking to build a long-term career in legal support.
