About the role
This is a part time position working three days per week, working closely with our Finance Manager, Financial Accountant and wider Finance team, you will contribute to a broad range of accounting and administrative duties, including:
- Assisting with general accounting functions, including transaction processing and journals
- Supporting billing tasks such as invoice adjustments, charge out rates and disbursements
- Ensuring strong internal controls, processes and audit trails are maintained
- Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
- Assisting with month end and year end processing
- Supporting accounts payable
- Supporting accounts receivable and the receipting process
- Managing the timely processing of credit card transactions
- Maintaining petty cash and cheque payments
- Providing backup support to the Trust Accounting Officer
You’ll gain hands on experience across the finance function while being supported by experienced leaders who are invested in your development.
About You
We welcome applicants who are looking to step into an Accounts Officer or Accounts Assistant position – whether you’re currently studying, looking to build corporate experience, or have prior experience in a finance role.
To succeed, you will bring:
- Year 12 completion or a Diploma/Degree in Accounting (or related discipline)
- Some experience in accounting, finance or administration (preferred but not essential)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong organisation and time management skills
