About your role:

We’re looking for energetic, confident and proactive support workers who enjoy community participation, outdoor activities, sports, recreation, fitness, and helping participants build independence and life skills.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Support people with disability in daily living and personal care
  • Plan, run and evaluate fun and meaningful programs
  • Build confidence and independence through community inclusion
  • Work flexibly across shifts, 7 days a week
  • Be a team player while also working independently

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Passionate about helping others live well and achieve their goals
  • Experienced in supporting people with complex needs, including behaviours of concern
  • Confident implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies and plans
  • Committed to person-centred practice, with a focus on dignity, choice and independence
  • Energetic, proactive and comfortable engaging in recreational, outdoor and social activities
  • A great communicator who can connect with participants, families and teams
  • Calm, resilient and professional in all situations
  • Skilled in documentation, reporting and incident management
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively

Essential Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent
  • Experience implementing Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Experience supporting participants with intellectual disability, psychosocial disability, or complex behaviours.
  • NDIS High Intensity Support Skills training (Medication Administration, Enteral Feeding, Dysphagia Management, Diabetes Management, Ventilator Support).
  • Experience facilitating outdoor, recreational, sporting, fitness, or community-based activities.
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Children’s Check
