The Role:
MCA Engineering has developed a dedicated and motivated workforce with a broad range of expertise and a sincere customer focus. Due to an increase in work in Mt Isa, we are seeking experienced local personnel to join our team for a 12–18 month surface project, including:
- Concreters
- Carpenters
- Fitters
- Poly Welders
- Trade Assistants
- Operators
Starting Indicative Pay Rates (under Enterprise Agreement):
- Trade Assistant (Level 2): $45.70/hr
- Poly Welder (Level 5/6): $57-61/hr
- Operator (Level 5/6): $57-61/hr
- Concreters / Carpenters / Fitters (Level 6): $61.39/hr
(Rates dependent on skills, experience, and role)

About You:
- Locally based in Mt Isa
- Current driver’s licence
- Relevant qualifications and tickets
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong safety focus and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Mining experience is advantageous
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A testing
- Operators must have either crane, or excavator, bobcat & loader licence
- Concreters must have experience in concrete finishing, including smoothing, leveling, and surface detailing
- Additional tickets and experience that would be highly regarded include: Rigging, Dogging, Franna Non Slew, Excavator ticket, HR Licence
