Our Production Teams are at the heart of what we do. It can be a great job opportunity, and we are proud that some people stay with us for years. However, we know it is not for everyone. You do not need technical skills, but you do need a great work ethic and attention to detail. In this role:
- Working in a slaughterhouse environment, your job is to support the production leader and work alongside the team to collect, prepare and package animal tissue, along with the necessary quality documentation.
- You will lead by example and follow clear processes with focused concentration, using the skills and techniques taught to you by our experts.
- Your team’s goal is to achieve its daily production targets while meeting high-quality expectations and working safely at all times.
What you will bring

- You are a team player who is passionate about supporting your team and doing a good day’s work, producing quality results on time.
- You are meticulous and have excellent attention to detail, ensuring all tasks are completed following our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- You are a lifelong learner who’s willing to undergo our excellent on-site training for this role. You are also open to change when we find opportunities to improve our approach.
- You put safety first, both your own and that of your team, and follow our strict health and safety standards.
- You are not faint of heart. You will be working in a slaughterhouse environment, so it is not for the squeamish. But we will give you all the support and training you need to succeed.
You will also need:
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role, demonstrating a passion for supporting your team to achieve their goals.
- The ability and readiness to start work between 5.30am and 6am. The good news? You will do a great day’s work and be away by mid-afternoon.
- Reliable transport of your own – there is no public transport to the sites.
- Good physical fitness and the willingness to attend a full employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen.

Our Production 2IC role is an excellent opportunity for those who want hands-on and interesting work. Many of our team members enjoy the balance they get with family life and other commitments. Our Production 2IC will enjoy a guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week on a part time daily hire arrangement. There is plenty of work, but it is consistent with no surprises, and once you finish a shift, you are finished – there is no work to take home.
