Master
Builders is the peak industry association representing the building and
construction sector in Queensland. Offering
a variety of services to support our members, we have an exciting opportunity
for a finance administrator to join our team, playing a key role in the
operations of our Master Builders Holding Account.
Designed to manage and protect funds throughout
the building process, the holding account is typically used to hold progress
payments, retention amounts, or disputed funds, ensuring that monies are
appropriately allocated and safeguarded throughout the construction process.
In
overseeing the operations of the account, your key responsibilities will
include:
- Daily
receipting of the bank statement.
- Setting
up of new accounts in ActionStep, confirming details against our CRM.
- Handling general enquiries from members and/or
consumers.
- Depositing,
holding, and disbursing funds in line with agreed terms and authorisation.
- Ensuring
proper authorisation for fund releases.
- Preparing
and issuing receipts for deposits and payments.
- Maintaining
proper records and reports for auditing and transparency.
- Referring
technical building matters to our internal subject matter experts.
To be successful in this
role, you’ll need:
- Basic understanding of financial principles such as
accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliation.
- Familiarity with trust account administration and
understanding of how funds are tracked and allocated.
- Capacity to identify discrepancies in financial
records and take steps to resolve them.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional
customer service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a
team.
- Prior experience using ActionStep would be
beneficial.
