Description

The position of Head of Marketing is best suited for an experienced marketing professional interested in mentoring a small team of Marketing Consultants in a dynamic, welcoming marketing agency.

In the role, you will manage large scale marketing projects such as developing client marketing strategies, executing multichannel marketing campaigns, relationship building and account management, client workshop facilitation, and progressing business development opportunities.

We’re looking for a confident, autonomous team member who has knowledge and experience to share with other members of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently create and drive large scale communication and marketing strategies/projects that align with client business objectives.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on branding, positioning, key messaging, marketing and communications strategies, and other marketing-related needs.
  • Identifies client pain points and needs and provides innovative and tailored solutions.
  • Develop and facilitate client and stakeholder engagement workshops and training sessions.
  • Lead Market Creations Agency’s internal marketing activity, including regularly performance reporting to management team.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and instruction to the client services team, including supporting team members with managing their projects, client relations and task prioritisation.
  • Identify and resolve issues or conflicts, internal and client-side, including assisting with client crisis communications needs.
  • Support and lead the preparation of quotations and tender requests, ensuring they meet business standards and client expectations.

General Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and facilitation experience.
  • Strong account management skills and ability to manage client relationships.
  • Maintain an exceptional quality of service delivery and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership skills and enthusiasm to upskill and mentor other members of the client services team. Management experience preferred.
  • Understanding of, or experience in, the local government sector is preferred.
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to juggle competing tasks, including supporting team members with task prioritisation.
  • Preference for candidates with economic development, tourism development and/or community development experience.
  • Thrives in a fast paced, agency environment where every day is different.
