Your Role
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you’ll be a key point of contact for the Finance team, providing expert financial accounting, statutory reporting, governance, compliance and business support within a complex infrastructure project environment.
You’ll:
- Lead the preparation and delivery of half-year and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory obligations.
- Manage month-end and year-end financial close processes, external audits, financial controls, taxation requirements and governance frameworks.
- Oversee capital accounting, fixed asset management and project expenditure reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and organisational policies.
- Drive continuous improvement across financial systems, reporting processes and controls, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
- Provide financial insight and accounting advice to support decision-making across the business and contribute to Board, Executive and Committee reporting.
- Lead and mentor accounting team members, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration and continuous improvement.

You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- CPA or CA qualification.
- Significant experience in financial management, financial accounting or senior accounting roles.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, statutory compliance and governance requirements.
- Experience managing external audits, taxation obligations, financial controls and financial reporting processes.
- Demonstrated experience delivering process improvements, systems enhancements and change initiatives within a finance environment.
- Experience working in complex project or infrastructure environments with rigorous governance and stakeholder scrutiny.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
