Internal Opportunity – FT OOHC
House Supervisor (6-Month Pilot Program)
MADEC is seeking expressions
of interest for two full-time OOHC House Supervisors to support a 6-month pilot
program as part of our ongoing service development and workforce model
evolution.
This role replaces the
previous OOHC Coordinator position held by Karly and represents an important
step in trialling a hybrid service model, combining both site-based and
office-based leadership functions.
Work locations are PRIM and
WALL.
About the Opportunity:
As part of MADEC’s long-term
strategic direction, we are piloting a hybrid coordination and supervision
model that strengthens frontline practice leadership, improves responsiveness
at the house level, and enhances overall service quality.
The OOHC House Supervisor
will play a key role in:
- Embedding Frontline Practice Leadership
(FPL) within residential houses
- Providing on-the-ground leadership,
coaching, and oversight
- Supporting consistent, safe, and
therapeutic care for children and young people
- Strengthening team capability, culture,
and accountability
- Ensuring strong risk management,
compliance, and safeguarding practices
This pilot will help inform
the future structure of OOHC services, including the balance between site-based
House Supervisors and office-based Coordinators.
Key Features of the Role:
- Approximately 60% frontline / site-based
leadership and 40% coordination and administrative responsibilities
- Direct supervision of residential teams,
including Team Leaders and Youth Workers
- Active involvement in practice
observation, coaching, and modelling
- Oversight of house operations,
documentation, incidents, and risk management
- Collaboration with OOHC leadership,
Child Safety, and external stakeholders
