We are seeking an experienced Accounts
Receivable & Credit Control Officer to join
our Adelaide team in a varied role with primary responsibility for accounts
receivable and credit control, while also supporting payroll, foreign accounts
payable and broader finance activities. Reporting directly to the Head of
Finance, this hands-on role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful
contribution to the finance function while developing your existing skills. If

The Role
This full-time role is based in our
Adelaide office, working 37.5 hours per week. Responsibilities include:
- managing accounts receivable and allocating customer receipts
- performing proactive credit control and debtor collection
- preparing debtor reports and aged receivables analysis
- managing financial relationships with overseas firms, including foreign
accounts payable activities that support effective credit control and debtor
management
- reconciling bank accounts
- assisting with payroll processing
- assisting with finance projects and process improvements
- working closely with the accounts payable function and broader finance
team
As your skills develop, you will have
the opportunity to become involved in finance reporting, process improvement
initiatives, systems enhancements and other accounting activities.
What We Are Seeking
To be considered for this role, you
will have previous experience in an accounts receivable role, or credit control
role. You will be able to demonstrate
the following:
- Accounting, finance or business qualifications will be
viewed favourably
- Accounts receivable and/or credit
control experience (3+ years)
- Confidence in communicating
professionally with clients about debt recovery
- Professional and measured
approach to debtor management
- Experience in a professional office environment,
preferably within in a legal or professional services firm
- Experience using accounting
software and business systems
- Experience with MYOB Advanced or
MYOB Acumatica will be viewed favourably
- Proven ability to learn new
systems and processes
- Excellent attention to detail,
accuracy and efficiency
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Strong reporting skills, with the ability to structure
data logically and tailor it to your audience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and
confidence working with financial data and reports
- Excellent communication skills,
and fluency in English (both verbal and written) to deal confidently with
client and staff queries
- Highly organised
- Proven ability to exercise
judgement, set priorities, and balance work tasks to meet deadlines
- Strong commitment to providing
excellent service to both internal stakeholders and external clients
- A proactive and flexible approach
to assisting the finance team to cover fluctuations in workloads when required
- Proven experience handling
confidential information with discretion
