Description

Pilbara, WA | FIFO ex Port Hedland | 8/6 Roster | Attractive Salary Package

Macro Mining Services delivers civil and mining works that move major resource projects from ground-breaking through to rehabilitation. Backed by ASX-listed Macro Metals Limited, we earn the trust to operate on Tier-1 sites by doing exactly what we commit to – safely, and under pressure.

We’re now appointing a Superintendent to lead frontline delivery on a landmark Pilbara earthworks and rehabilitation programme.

The Programme

This is a large-scale civil earthworks and site establishment programme supporting environmentally critical rehabilitation works in a Tier-1 mining client environment. The scope runs from access roads, drill pads, laydowns and temporary facilities through to progressive rehabilitation and demobilisation across two delivery stages. You’ll work an 8/6 roster, back-to-back with the Project Manager, so senior leadership is on the ground every shift.

The Role

As Superintendent, you own the safe, sequenced, day-to-day execution at the work front. You lead supervisors and crews in person, hold the statutory line, and step up as Macro’s senior site representative on the Project Manager’s off-swing – turning scope, client standards and our Brand Values into verified controls and real production.

What You’ll Own

  • Lead a *Protect People – Always* culture, verifying critical controls in the field and backing anyone who stops for safety
  • Drive bulk and detailed earthworks; cut and fill, compaction, drainage, batters and fine grading, to programme and design
  • Allocate plant, labour and materials daily to protect the critical path and planned production
  • Ensure statutory, suitably qualified supervision and disciplined back-to-back handovers at every changeover
  • Build work to client specifications and acceptance criteria first time, with survey set-out and as-built integrity
  • Control cost, rework and standby while flagging variations and risks early
  • Embed environmental, heritage and rehabilitation controls across all ground-disturbing works

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years’ frontline civil, earthworks or mining experience, including senior site leadership
  • Statutory supervision under WHS (Mines) legislation – span-of-control and Schedule 26 / Mines Act appointments
  • Proven delivery on remote, Tier-1 sites, working within client systems and permit-to-work processes
  • Strong WA WHS and critical-risk knowledge, plus earthworks acceptance and survey familiarity
  • Construction (White) Card and current C-Class licence; able to meet the demands of FIFO work in a remote, cyclone-prone environment
  • A leader who says it straight, plans the work, and holds the standard when the pressure rises

Why Macro

  • Lead delivery on a high-profile Tier-1 programme with genuine, lasting impact
  • A safety-led, performance-driven culture where values are verbs, not posters
  • Real career growth inside an integrated, ASX-listed resources group
  • Strong site leadership and the backing to deliver well

Inclusion

Macro is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce. We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply, and we’re proud to create meaningful local employment and participation on Country.
