Machine Operator and Irrigation Assistant Roles – Maryborough

Macadamia Farm Management is a leader in large-scale macadamia nut production. We are seeking a Machine Operator and an Irrigation Assistant to join our Maryborough team in casual roles with potential to go permanent.

About the Roles:

Machine Operator

• Operating macadamia harvesters, slashers, mowers, sprayers, spreaders and other machinery
• Driving quad bikes and farm buggies
• Cleaning, greasing and basic maintenance of equipment
• Using GPS and autosteer systems (training provided)
• Assisting with harvest and general orchard duties

Requirements: Prior machinery operation experience (agriculture preferred), mechanical aptitude, physically fit, QLD Driver’s Licence.

Irrigation Assistant

• Monitoring and operating irrigation systems, pumps and filters
• Checking and maintaining irrigation lines and emitters
• Fertigation tasks
• General orchard maintenance and manual labour
• Supporting harvest operations when needed

Requirements: Experience with irrigation or plumbing advantageous, strong attention to detail, physically fit, QLD Driver’s Licence.

Common to Both Roles

• Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions, including day and night shifts during harvest
• Permanent working rights in Australia
• Reliable, safety-focused and hardworking attitude
