Description

Loreto Community Housing manages more than 3,000 social and affordable housing properties statewide and has many new homes under construction to help meet growing demand. We combine expert tenancy management with a strong commitment to tenant and community wellbeing.

We are seeking a full-time permanent tenancy officer who can contribute to our team’s high-quality tenancy management services. This position is based at our office in Launceston with on-site parking.

Your Role:

• To provide support to the Tenancy Team Leader by ensuring tenancy management is delivered to a high standard and in compliance with relevant legislation.

• To undertake tenancy management that aligns with policy requirements while supporting long-term, sustainable tenancies.

• To foster strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams that deliver related services, as well as a range of external stakeholders.

Selection Criteria:

• Commitment to the vision, purpose and values of Loreto Community Housing and a broad understanding of the operation of the Catholic Church in Tasmania.

• Previous experience in a similar social/public housing or property management position. Qualifications in property management are highly desirable.

• A demonstrated understanding of the Residential Tenancy Act 1997.

• Well-developed interpersonal skills and a proven ability to maintain a customer service focus with people from different backgrounds.

• Demonstrated ability to work with information and data systems and an ability to maintain data and records appropriately.

• Proven ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• A willingness to undertake the relevant employee screening process, including a National Police Criminal History check and a Working with Vulnerable People card.

• A current unrestricted Drivers Licence
