Description

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Manager to lead and oversee clinical care delivery within our residential aged care facility in Hope Island. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, person-centred care that aligns with the Aged Care Quality Standards and all relevant regulatory requirements.

You will provide clinical leadership to nursing and care teams, drive continuous improvement, and promote best practice care outcomes for our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise clinical staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to enhance patient care.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and quality of care, making necessary adjustments to improve service delivery.
  • Coordinate training and development programmes for clinical staff to ensure ongoing professional growth.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to support clinical operations.
  • Provide strong day to day clinical leadership and oversight of all care practices within the facility

  • Lead quality improvement initiatives, audits, and accreditation processes
  • Lead, support and mentor Clinical team, Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses
  • Oversee care planning, clinical assessments, and documentation accuracy
  • Act as a strong escalation point for complex clinical issues, applying strong judgement and evidence based decision making
  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation and compliance with internal process, audits and regulatory requirements
  • Manage incident reporting, risk management, and continuous improvement systems for governance across the clinical department.
  • Liaise with residents, families, allied health professionals, and external providers and government bodies including but not limited to the aged care commission

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current AHPRA registration.
  • Current year Influenza vaccination
  • Minimum 2 covid vaccinations
  • Current police check (within the last 12months)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a clinical setting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Proficient in healthcare management software and electronic health records.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong clinical assessment, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage priorities in a complex environment
  • Strong working knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and accreditation requirements
