Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our removalist company in Melbourne, Victoria. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of clients’ belongings, ensuring a smooth and stress-free moving experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Transport:

Safely operate company vehicles to transport clients’ belongings to designated locations.

Load and unload items with care, ensuring they are properly secured and protected.

Follow scheduled routes and meet delivery timelines.

Customer Service:

Communicate effectively with clients to understand their moving needs and address any concerns.

Provide professional and courteous service throughout the moving process.

Handle client belongings with the utmost care and respect.

Documentation and Compliance:

Maintain accurate records of deliveries and inventory.

Complete required paperwork, including delivery receipts and vehicle inspection reports.

Ensure compliance with all company policies and legal requirements.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Perform regular inspections and maintenance of company vehicles.

Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.

Keep vehicles clean and well-maintained.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.

Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Ensure compliance with traffic laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a delivery driver, preferably in the removalist industry.

Proven track record of safe and efficient driving.

Licenses and Certifications:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

White Card (Construction Induction Training) – required.

Working with Children Check – required.

Forklift license – preferred but not mandatory.

Skills:

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.
