About the Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to support our growing team on a part-time basis (Monday’s, Tuesday’s, and Wednesday’s), for an initial six-month engagement.
As a Payroll Officer you will be responsible for the support and delivery of Leed Group’s payroll and associated activities – ensuring compliance with all legislative, statutory and regulatory obligations.
Working within the Payroll team you will assist with the weekly and fortnightly processing of payroll for multiple entities within the Leed Group. You will have the opportunity to interact within the wider business during this process, ensuring that timesheets submitted are accurate and are processed accurately and on time. This will be achieved with the support and guidance of the Payroll team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities are accurate and delivered within appropriate timeframes and comply with relevant legislation and statutory requirements.
- Process end to end payroll activities such as; time and attendance data, salary and wages disbursement, allowances and deductions and reporting.
- Interpreting awards/agreements and contracts.
- Provide monthly and adhoc reports.
- Ad hoc analysis of data as requested by the management team.
- Maintenance of the payroll system.
- Provide a responsive, accurate client advisory service on payroll matters, resolve difficult enquiries and assist in identifying payroll errors and implementing corrective action where required.
About You:
- 3+ years demonstrated experience in a varied payroll role.
- General knowledge of industrial relations and finance legislation.
- Intermediate Microsoft office suite understanding.
- Experience in Payroll and Accounting software packages – Employment Hero would be advantageous.
- It is essential that you have experience processing wages including overtime, penalties and other additional allowances..
