About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Service Delivery Manager to lead and grow our quoted/project works function while ensuring seamless integration with Business As Usual (BAU) maintenance operations.
Reporting to the State Manager in our North Coogee office, this is a critical leadership role responsible for managing a team of Project Managers, driving subcontractor capability, and expanding project delivery across the business.
You will oversee a high-volume portfolio of concurrent projects, ranging from circa $5,000 to $250,000, while ensuring delivery excellence, operational efficiency, and strong financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of Project Managers, ensuring effective workload allocation, accountability and delivery excellence.
- Oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects simultaneously, meeting time, cost, quality and client expectations.
- Resolve project escalations and drive strong operational performance across the project portfolio.
- Develop and execute subcontractor procurement strategies, maintaining a reliable, high-quality network and optimising utilisation across all workstreams.
- Build subcontractor capability and coverage to support project delivery, including remote and regional requirements.
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to increase pipeline opportunities, conversion rates and long-term partnerships.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand project works, revenue streams and market presence.
- Support tendering activities, pricing strategies and market positioning initiatives.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to align Projects and BAU delivery within a whole-of-business service model.
- Monitor project financial performance, including margins, cost controls and profitability.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, regulatory, contractual and performance obligations across all project activities.
- Provide accurate reporting, analysis and insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
About You:
You are a strong leader with a hands-on approach, capable of operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You bring a balance of operational excellence, commercial acumen, and stakeholder engagement capability.
Key Requirements:
- 7+ years’ experience in operational management within maintenance, construction, or facilities services
- Proven experience leading project teams and managing high-volume workflows
- Strong subcontractor procurement and management experience
- Demonstrated success in business development or growing service lines
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
