Lady Gowrie Tasmania (LGT) is looking for experienced Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) and early childhood professionals to join our OSHC services in Hobart, Rosetta and Rokeby as part-time Team Leaders. This is an exciting opportunity for passionate and confident educators to lead and inspire a dedicated team while developing their leadership skills within a supportive environment. With guidance from experienced Service Managers, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children and families while taking the next step in your career.

About the role:
As an OSHC Team Leader, you’ll be the Responsible Person on-site, guiding a small team of educators to deliver quality, play-based programs in a safe and inclusive environment. With a “Children First” approach, you will oversee daily operations, staff supervision, family engagement and service coordination, while keeping child safety at the heart of every decision. You’ll help uphold Child Safe Standards, Mandatory Reporting obligations, the National Quality Framework and LGT requirements, with support and mentoring from experienced service managers along the way. Whether you’re refining your leadership skills or growing into a bigger role, you won’t be
doing it alone.

About you:
- Experience in Outside School Hours Care or other child-related work
- A natural ability to build trust with children, families, and colleagues
- Confidence to guide and support a small team, and role-model child-safe practice
- Current Tasmanian WWVP registration (child-related activity – childcare services)
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn the National Quality Framework and Responsible Person duties
- First Aid, Child Safety Training and Food Safety Training (or willingness to obtain)
- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (desirable)
