We have exciting opportunity for an Assistant Service Manager role for Acton Education and Care Service, on a maximum-term contract to cover parental leave for approximately a year.
The Role:
As Assistant Service Manager, you will support the Service Manager and Regional Manager to lead day-to-day operations and pedagogy within the service. With support from our Pedagogy & Practice team, you’ll play an important role as Educational Leader, guiding curriculum planning, supporting educators, and fostering innovative practice.
This role is an excellent opportunity to step into a formal leadership position and grow your career, with responsibilities including:
- Leading high-quality educational programs informed by the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Supporting and mentoring educators to achieve their best practice.
- Assisting with service operations, rosters, enrolments, and compliance.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Acting as Responsible Person when required.
What you’ll bring:
We are looking for a motivated professional with:
- A Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved).
- Strong knowledge of the NQF and EYLF.
- Experience supporting or leading a team, with a collaborative and reflective approach.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for inclusion, safety, and child-centred practice.
