About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Bulk Operations, with functional support from the Head of People & Culture, you’ll play a key role in partnering with operational leaders to attract, retain and develop great people across our Bulk Operations division.

This is a true generalist HR role with a strong focus on recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, engagement and coaching leaders. You’ll be a trusted advisor who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and delivering practical people solutions in a fast-paced transport and logistics environment.

You’ll spend your time working in the business, working alongside leaders and employees, influencing culture, supporting performance, and ensuring our people practices enable operational success. If you enjoy variety, autonomy and making a genuine impact, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Deliver end-to-end recruitment, including advertising, screening, interview coordination, reference checks, and compliance documentation.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, inductions, training requirements, and system access.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment and onboarding data in HRIS.
  • Provide recruitment metrics and insights to support workforce planning.

Training, Culture & Engagement:

  • Coordinate training initiatives and support traineeship administration.
  • Champion people initiatives that enhance engagement and employee experience.
  • Support recognition programs, engagement activities, and employee events.
  • Assist with culture surveys and engagement reporting.
  • Be a visible, trusted first point of contact for leaders and employees.

HR Operations & Reporting:

  • Provide first-level HR advice and respond to general enquiries.
  • Maintain personnel files, position descriptions, and employment contracts.
  • Support development and review of HR policies and procedures.
  • Prepare HR reports including recruitment, turnover, training, and engagement data.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR systems, data and processes.

About You

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ of experience in a generalist HR that has ncluded recruitment.
  • Experience in transport and/or logistics environments (highly regarded).
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and compliance obligations.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence (WA)

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of HR principles and practices, especially in recruitment, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
