About the Role

Reporting to the Manager – Bulk Operations, you and your counterpart Supervisor are responsible for leading the day-to-day Gas Services operation..

This role combines operational oversight with people leadership, ensuring our drivers, equipment and customer commitments are managed safely, efficiently and professionally.

You will be a visible leader who spends time engaging with drivers, supporting customers, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring operational performance aligns with KTrans’ high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate daily operations
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across the team
  • Build positive working relationships with customers and key stakeholders
  • Manage driver compliance, fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility requirements
  • Monitor operational performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct toolbox meetings, investigations and corrective actions
  • Coordinate fleet maintenance schedules and defect management processes
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and performance support to team members
  • Ensure service delivery targets are achieved while maintaining safety and compliance standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience within transport, logistics or a related operational environment
  • Strong knowledge of Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Chain of Responsibility and fatigue management requirements
  • Experience working within Dangerous Goods operations (highly regarded)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent planning, organisation and problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in a dynamic environment
  • A commitment to safety, compliance and operational excellence
  • Current WA Driver’s Licence (MC Licence highly regarded)
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment medical examination, including drug and alcohol screening
