Description

Come join Koorana in this rewarding part time role as an Early Childhood Educator (Cert III) where you will be working in collaboration with the Supported Playgroup Team in running supported playgroups in indoor and outdoor venues across the Bankstown and Canterbury Local Government Areas.

Early Childhood Educators work in collaboration to plan and provide supported playgroups with age-appropriate play activities that promote early learning, support parents and carers in their parenting role and assist families to establish supportive social connections. They also assist families to make links with a wide range of community supports, including formal prior to school settings such as day care and preschool.  This position is for 11.5hrs per week on Mondays and Fridays starting at 8.45am during school terms only.

What We’re Looking For

  • Certificate III qualifications in Early Childhood Education.
  • Experience working with children and parents and carers in their parenting role.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, prioritise, plan ahead,anticipate risks and problem solve.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse community.
  • The ability to effectively collaborate with other professionals and to be a team player.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Suite e.g. word, excel etc 
  • Current driver’s license.
