South Coast Community Colleges is seeking a dynamic and values-driven General Manager – Training and Learning, to lead our vocational education services across the region. This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone passionate about community engagement, people leadership and driving sustainable organisational growth.

About The Role

Reporting to the CEO and as a key member of the Leadership Team, you’ll lead strategy and operations across our training and learning programs, ensuring high-quality, inclusive and outcomes-focused education delivery.

You will play a critical role in:

  • Strengthening community connections and partnerships
  • Leading people, culture and organisational change
  • Driving service innovation and growth opportunities
  • Delivering impactful training that supports people into education and employment

This role spans the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and South Coast regions, with regular travel across sites.

Key Responsibilities

Community Engagement & Partnerships

  • Build strong relationships with community, industry and government stakeholders
  • Increase access to education for those facing barriers
  • Represent and promote the organisation across the region

People Leadership & Culture

  • Drive organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strengthen systems, quality frameworks and training delivery
  • Lead innovation in programs aligned to community and industry needs

Growth & Strategy

  • Identify and deliver new funding, service and partnership opportunities
  • Contribute to strategy, planning and business development
  • Support tenders and new program development

Operational & Quality Oversight

  • Ensures programs are compliant, high quality and financially sustainable
  • Oversee performance, accreditation and student outcomes

About You

You are a collaborative and strategic leader with a strong track record in people leadership, change management and community engagement.

You will bring:

  • Senior leadership experience in vocational education, training or a related sector
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams through change and growth
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills
  • Experience in driving service innovation and continuous improvement
  • A passion for improving access to education and community outcomes
