Description

Acting Course Manager (Up to Full-Time) – Internal EOIs Welcome

Location: Kiama or Mundamia (with regular travel between sites)

Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week

Start Date: Immediate start

Salary: Grade 8 ($49.23/hour)

We are seeking EOIs from internal staff to act in the Course Manager role on a temporary basis with the following program responsibility:

– Foundation Skills

-Implementation of National Skills Agreement in relation to Literacy and Numeracy

– First Nations Engagement

– ACE Program Delivery Illawarra Shoalhaven

About the Role

Kiama Community College works closely with South Coast Community College in a strategic partnership to ensure quality delivery of our programs across the South Coast region. You will work collaboratively with colleagues from both organisations as Course Manager. You will be responsible for the coordination, delivery, and continuous improvement of accredited training programs. You will support trainers and students, ensure compliance with ASQA standards, and engage with industry to align training with workforce needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead course planning, delivery, and assessment strategies

• Provide educational leadership and support to trainers

• Ensure student engagement, wellbeing, and retention

• Maintain strong industry and stakeholder relationships

• Oversee compliance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement

• Contribute to marketing and promotion of courses

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in vocational education and training

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)

• Strong understanding of ASQA standards and RTO compliance

• Proven ability to manage programs and lead teams

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Current Working With Children Check and National Criminal History Check

• First Aid Certificate (desirable)

• C Class Driver’s Licence
