Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Supervisor to lead the delivery of water infrastructure, pipelines, bulk earthworks and associated civil construction projects throughout the Geelong region.

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for supervising day-to-day construction activities across water and earthworks projects. You will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors and plant, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate site crews including Leading Hands, Operators, Labourers and Subcontractors.
  • Deliver daily work plans to achieve production targets safely and efficiently.
  • Lead daily Pre-Starts, ensuring all workers understand the day’s activities, hazards and control measures.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and service plans.
  • Work closely with Project Engineers to monitor productivity, budgets, cost codes and programme milestones.
  • Ensure all works comply with project specifications, quality requirements and environmental obligations.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging the reporting of Near Misses, Hazards, Incidents and Non-Conformances.
  • Maintain detailed daily site diaries and production records.
  • Coordinate plant, materials and subcontractors to minimise downtime.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, construction methodology and project outcomes.

Coordinate construction of:

  • Water pipelines
  • Sewer and drainage infrastructure
  • Pump stations (desirable)
  • Bulk earthworks
  • Civil infrastructure associated with water projects

About You

You are an experienced civil Supervisor who enjoys leading teams and delivering quality infrastructure projects. You have a practical approach to problem-solving and understand what it takes to safely deliver complex water and earthworks projects.

You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience as a Civil Supervisor,
  • Demonstrated experience delivering water infrastructure projects including pipelines, sewer, drainage or associated civil works.
  • Strong earthworks experience including bulk earthworks, trenching and service installation.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality and environmental compliance
  • Ability to coordinate multiple crews and subcontractors.
  • Current White Card
  • Current Driver’s Licence.
