About the Role
We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Lecturer in Entertainment Business Management (EBM) to join our Sydney campus. This role is ideal for an educator who is committed to academic excellence, student engagement, and industry relevance. You’ll be pivotal in shaping future leaders in entertainment business through innovative teaching, curriculum development, and strong industry collaboration.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver and develop high-quality teaching and learning experiences in EBM.
- Support student engagement and graduate employability by aligning curriculum with industry needs.
- Assist with curriculum design, assessment, moderation, and academic integrity.
- Mentor academic staff and contribute to professional development initiatives.
- Participate in practice-based scholarship and contribute to JMC’s Scholarship Register.
- Engage with industry stakeholders to ensure real-world relevance and learning opportunities.
- Assisting the Head of Department with day-to-day operations, such as lecturer support, timetables, student record management and student enrolment/progressions.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum), with AQF8 or Master’s level qualifications highly regarded.
- Strong industry knowledge and/or experience in areas like content production, marketing, event management, or business strategy within entertainment.
- Proven success in tertiary teaching and curriculum design.
- Experience with online and blended education technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for creative education.
- A Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
