We are looking for Russian-speaking Home Care Support Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred care to our clients across the Eastern Suburbs and surrounding areas.
Both Permanent Part-Time and Casual opportunities are available.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Home Care Support Worker, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred care in line with individual support plans. Duties may include:
- Build warm and respectful relationships with older clients
- Provide personal care (e.g. showering, grooming, dressing)
- Assist with domestic tasks (e.g. cleaning, laundry, meal preparation)
- Offer transport and social support (e.g. shopping, medical appointments)
- Provide companionship and wellbeing-focused activities
- Communicate effectively in both Russian and English to support clients and their families
This is a Monday to Friday role (8am–5pm) with occasional weekend work and requires a minimum commitment of 10 hours/week, with availability for at least 2 full days or 3.5 days per week.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care/Community) (Mandatory)
- Current First Aid & CPR – mandatory
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable, insured vehicle
- Fluent in Russian and English – essential
- Experience in Aged Care or Community Support – highly desirable
- Understanding of person-centred care and respect for cultural diversity
