Description

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Social Media Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering social media across various platforms to increase brand awareness, engagement, and drive traffic to our website. The Social Media Specialist will work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement social media strategies that align with our business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement an always-on social media strategy that delivers the objectives of the Jean Hailes and our business groups.
  • Engage with our communities on social media and develop policies and plans to encourage conversations on social media and to provide a safe platform for women to talk freely and openly about their health.
  • Manage the social media calendar in coordination with the strategic priorities at Jean Hailes.
  • Ideate, create, schedule and publish creative social posts aligned with campaign and marketing activity.
  • Coordinate paid social media management and content creation with external agencies and freelancers
  • Create, shoot, and edit short-form high-quality video content for social media and website use
  • Identify and capitalise on real-time opportunities and emerging trends to deliver timely, engaging social media responses
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and all parts of the business to bring ideas to lif
  • Report on metrics, trends and KPIs on social media and regularly evaluate performance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Significant hands-on experience of developing and managing a social media brand presence including content delivery, community management and digital advertising across Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and more (this experience could be in-house or for an agency).
  • Proven experience of social media content creation and storytelling, this includes copy writing, imagery and short-form video production.
  • A sound knowledge of data analytics and reporting.
  • Familiarity with scheduling platforms such as Meltwater plus design and video editing software.
  • Experience in commercial or non-profit marketing, design and communications.
  • Experience of generating novel and engaging ideas and putting your ideas into action.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively, establish and maintain rapport with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and handle matters with maturity, confidentiality, and discretion
  • Knowledge of women’s health, health promotion principles and health behaviour is desirable but more important is a willingness to learn and understand our work.
  • Previous work in the not-for-profit or health sector is desirable but not essential.
