Description

Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Administration Assistant to join our team in Forestville, New South Wales. This casual role with at least 16 hours per week (Mon + Tue) is a good fit for people new to administrative or secretarial work. The Administration Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting daily operations, ensuring efficient office management, and contributing to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing an office’s general correspondence, including phone calls, emails, and faxes.
  • Developing and maintaining an effective filing system.
  • Assist in organising meetings and events.
  • Rostering assistant.
  • Operating and maintaining office equipment, such as printers, and replenishing office supplies as needed.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, taking messages as necessary.
  • Prepare and proofread office documents, such as memos and reports, and distribute these as necessary.
  • Prepare and distribute internal communications and reports.
  • Handling basic bookkeeping tasks

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
