MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Act as a senior technical contact for customers across network and network security
environments.
• Provide advanced support and hands-on delivery for Fortinet Security Fabric components,
including FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiClient EMS,
FortiSASE, and FortiWeb.
• Implement, configure, and troubleshoot FortiGate NGFW features including routing, VPN
(IPsec/SSL), SD-WAN, segmentation, HA, VDOMs, and security profiles.
• Assist in deployment and management of SD-WAN environments using Fortinet best
practices, including SLA definitions, application steering, and underlay/overlay integration.
• Support integration and policy management through FortiManager, including ADOM
operations, policy packages, device onboarding, and configuration lifecycle.
• Use FortiAnalyzer for log analysis, event correlation, reporting, and troubleshooting to assist
ongoing operations and incident resolution.
• Support Fortinet wireless and switching deployments, including FortiLink, managed
FortiSwitch networks, and FortiAP optimisation.
• Deploy and support FortiGate-VM solutions in AWS/Azure, including routing integration,
Transit VPC/VNet patterns, and load-balancer/ELB sandwich designs.
• Support customer environments built on the Cisco enterprise suite, including ISE, WLC, WSA,
ASA, Routers, IOS and NX-OS Switches.
• Deliver design, implementation, and BAU support of enterprise technologies in line with
customer requirements and Ip.Glass standards.
• Participate in project delivery across network and security transformation initiatives.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and assist with complex operational issues.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with clients in both project and BAU contexts.
• Prepare technical documentation, change plans, proposals, and as-built guides where
required.
• Provide operational support, including assignment, ownership, and resolution of support
requests.
• Contribute to improvements in customer network and security posture through best
practice recommendations and configuration tuning.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies aligned with operational and
customer needs.
• Perform penetration and security testing tasks and liaise with vendors for escalations related
to information security.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
• Diploma or Certificate IV in Information Technology, or equivalent industry experience.
• Relevant vendor certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE7, Cisco CCNP).
Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within networking and/or network security.
Skills:
• Strong knowledge of advanced networking concepts, protocols, firewalls, and security
technologies.
• Experience with network infrastructure including routers, switches, servers, VPNs, and
wireless systems.
• Proficiency in monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving complex network and security issues.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective time management skills across both project and operational workloads.
