Your opportunity
As Project Manager – Aviation, you’ll lead the delivery of complex fuel infrastructure projects across airports and regional sites. From concept design through to on-site supervision, you’ll oversee every stage of project execution—ensuring fuel storage and dispensing systems are safe, efficient, and compliant with industry standards (JIG4, AS1940). This role brings together multidisciplinary inputs across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation, while driving timelines, budgets, and quality outcomes to achieve operational excellence.
- Design Development – Create layouts for fuel storage, pumping systems, and dispensers; lead design reviews for tank farms and bulk transfer systems.
- Project Planning & Control – Build and manage schedules, budgets, and workshop progress to ensure seamless installation.
- Procurement & Contracting – Prepare requisitions/specifications, manage subcontractors, and support bids and contract reviews.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Foster strong relationships, attend client meetings, deliver progress reports, and drive purposeful outcomes.
- On-Site Oversight & Compliance – Conduct site visits, support construction teams, and ensure quality assurance aligned with industry standards.
What you’ll bring
You are a technically skilled and commercially savvy professional with a passion for delivering complex fuel infrastructure projects. With a strong foundation in engineering and project management, you bring hands-on experience across design, supply, and maintenance of fuel systems, coupled with compliance to industry standards. Your ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage stakeholders, and drive outcomes in fast-paced environments makes you a trusted partner in achieving operational excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
- Strong background in fuel infrastructure design, supply, and maintenance, with knowledge of airport fuelling operations.
- Solid mechanical expertise with awareness of electrical and instrumentation standards, plus compliance with JIG4 and AS1940.
- Proven track record managing complex site projects, with supervisory experience and strong commercial acumen.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication skills, and proficiency in project management/design tools; valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
