Description

Go far with IOR

IOR might be the greatest Aussie success story you haven’t heard of… yet.

From humble roots in Eromanga, QLD, we’ve been fuelling the furthest corners of Australia for over 40 years. But we think the most exciting journey’s still on the horizon.

Joining IOR means stepping into a role where your work genuinely matters. Whether you’re supporting customers, keeping operations moving, or helping shape the future of our fleet and maintenance capability, you’ll be part of a team that backs you to grow, learn, and make an impact. This is your chance to contribute to a business that’s still building, still innovating, and still driven by the same determination that started in the red dirt of Eromanga.

About the role

This role is responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities across our fleet and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. You’ll work closely with maintenance teams and operational stakeholders to prioritise work, allocate resources, and minimise downtime. It’s a highly organised, hands-on planning role where you’ll analyse data, implement preventative maintenance strategies, and play a key part in improving performance across the business.

  • Develop and manage maintenance schedules to prioritise critical work and minimise operational disruption.
  • Create, track, and coordinate work orders, ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation.
  • Coordinate labour, materials, and equipment to support efficient maintenance delivery.
  • Implement and optimise preventative maintenance programs to improve asset reliability and lifespan.
  • Analyse maintenance data and performance metrics to identify trends, improve processes, and support decision-making.

What you’ll bring

You’re highly organised, analytical, and proactive, with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You bring strong communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively across teams to deliver practical outcomes. A background in maintenance planning or a trade environment will set you up for success, along with confidence using systems and data to drive improvements.

  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with experience interpreting maintenance data and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Solid understanding of maintenance processes, systems, and equipment, with exposure to CMMS or similar systems.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders and contractors.
  • Relevant industry experience (ideally 5+ years) in a similar maintenance planning or coordination role, with a trade background desirable.
