Melbourne Data Centres
Are you an experienced Site Supervisor ready for your next career challenge? Intravision is seeking a motivated leader to take charge of exciting new projects based in Melbourne.
As a member of Intravision’s Data Centre team, you will be responsible to lead and oversee the delivery of large-scale projects for key Intravision clients.
Our data centre team delivers a diverse range of solutions for our clients including:
- Structured fibre and copper cabling systems to support BMS, EMS, Security, ICT installations.
- Electronic security systems.
- Hyperscale Data Centre Deployments
- Customer fit outs
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver project plans aligned with scope, client requirements, and organisational goals.
- Interpret design drawings and specifications to ensure accurate project execution.
- Supervise site teams, manage labour allocation, and drive productivity and performance.
- Control project schedules and resources to meet key milestones and deadlines.
- Oversee procurement of materials to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
- Manage plant and equipment allocation, maintenance, and utilisation.
- Conduct fibre optic testing, fault finding, and ensure quality installation standards.
- Ensure compliance with data centre cabling standards and industry best practice.
- Manage contract variations and support negotiation and compliance requirements.
- Prepare project reporting including progress, financials, and risk updates.
- Enforce WHS compliance and maintain safe site operations.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with demonstrated experience in a similar commercial organisation.
- Experience in working within the data centre environment is desirable.
- Telecommunications technology experience including fibre splicing is desirable.
- Experience in the preparation of quotes and tenders including input into equipment selection and design considerations.
- Demonstrated experience to run small projects and lead times to meet project deadlines.
- Developing leadership and management skills.
- ACMA and/or Open Cabler License or Electrical Trade (desirable).
- Certifications in relevant data or cabling standards (e.g. BICSI RCDD) will be an advantage
- Ability to obtain NV1 Clearance
- Current driver’s license.
