About the Role

We are excited to offer a newly created opportunity for a passionate and organised Excursion Coordinator to join our expanding OSHC@IOE program based at our Eastern Ranges School Service.

This role focuses on the planning and delivery of a high-quality excursion-based program, operating three days per week. You will lead the design and implementation of engaging, inclusive, and community-based experiences that’s age appropriate, working closely with the Nominated Supervisor and OSHC team.

This is a hands-on, dynamic role that combines creativity, coordination, and leadership to bring meaningful experiences to life.

You’ll play a key role in:

    •    Planning and coordinating a weekly excursion program for students 12+ years old

    •    Designing engaging, inclusive experiences tailored to children with diverse needs

    •    Managing bookings, transport, permissions, and logistics

    •    Conducting risk assessments and ensuring all excursions meet compliance and safety

standards

    •    Supporting educators to deliver high-quality experiences during excursions

    •    Building connections with community providers and venues

    •    Contributing to program planning and continuous improvement

A Day in the Life at OSHC@IOE

No two days are the same, and that’s exactly how we like it.

Program Planning & Coordination

You’ll spend time researching, designing, and organising upcoming excursions, liaising with venues, confirming bookings, completing risk assessments, and ensuring all logistics are in place.

Excursion Days

These are the highlight of the role. You’ll lead and support children and educators out in the community, facilitating meaningful, fun, and safe experiences while supporting participation and inclusion for all.

Team Collaboration

You’ll work closely with the OSHC team and administration team to align excursions with the broader program, coordinate bookings and documentation, share ideas, and ensure consistency in practice, communication, and service quality.

Connection & Reflection

You’ll communicate with families, gather feedback, and reflect on each excursion to continuously improve and innovate the program.

    •    Knowledge of child safety, risk management, and compliance requirements

    •    Strong communication and teamwork skills

    •    Understanding of frameworks such as My Time, Our Place (desirable)

    •    Current Working with Children Check (required)

    •    First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis (or willingness to obtain)
