About Us: Inscope Training (RTO #40926) is a leading provider of vocational education and training, specialising in trade-based apprenticeships and short courses for the construction industry.

The Role: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Compliance Officer to work within our Operations Team on a full time, permanent basis.

As the Compliance Officer, you will provide professional compliance service and support to ensure adherence with regulatory requirements, funding contracts and internal policies. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience in the vocational education and training environment and knowledge of the Australian Quality Framework (AQF), and to the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Quality Framework.

This role coordinates and oversees the day to-day operations of risk mitigation and provides expert advice to management and employees to ensure our practices meet industry needs and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee compliance with AQF and VET Quality Framework (RTO Outcome Standards, Compliance Requirements, Credential Policy) and funding contracts.
  • Stay updated with regulatory changes and update internal policies and processes
  • Manage our scope of registration
  • Update and maintain an internal compliance calendar and employee professional development calendar
  • Conduct regular internal audits and engage with external auditors
  • Provide support and advise to management and staff on compliance related matters
  • Monitor and action complaints, appeals, and feedback
  • Create, regularly review and update Training and Assessment Strategies
  • Record, implement and monitor continuous improvement.
  • Review training and assessment practices and recommend best practice.
  • Ensure accurate records are being maintained and data is securely managed.
  • Build and maintain a good rapport with regulators by addressing their enquiries, seeking their advice and notifying of them of issues.
  • Provide input into identifying and minimising risks, including recommendations to deal with non-compliance.

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Experience in compliance within a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of the AQF and VET Quality Framework, and other regulatory frameworks
  • Relevant qualifications in compliance, quality assurance, or a related field
  • Proven ability to manage audits and continuous improvement processes
  • Ability to plan and organise workload, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with employees and key stakeholders
  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a team
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures for online data bases (both internal and external)
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a Blue Card (Working with children)
  • Have a current driver’s license and own reliable transport
