The Role
This role is within CASG, working on JP9347 Joint Data Networks as a systems
engineer. The successful candidate will, contribute to JP9347 project’s Engineering
activities and specifically focusing on Software Engineering activities from
requirements development and market solicitation to acquisition through to
introduction into service.
About You
Requirements of the role include, but may not be limited to:
• Supporting the Planning and Execution of the project Engineering Program
• Participating in engineering engagement with Industry as part of a holistic
contract management approach
• Conducting requirements and specification development
• Liaising with internal and external project stakeholders
• Participating in Industry lead Sprint Planning, SCRUMs and/or other Agile
like fora
• Developing engineering advice to Project Leadership on the Engineering
Program
• Development of briefings and other formal correspondence to
project/program leadership
• Review for acceptance of contract deliverables
• Supporting or executing whole of system level certification activities
• Providing mentoring to junior engineers
Essential Qualification:
• Bachelor of Engineering (or Engineers Australia recognised equivalent)
• AQF Level 6 equivalent or above software development qualifications
Highly Desirable:
• Formal qualifications in Communications, or other technology specifically
relevant to tactical data links
• Postgraduate qualification(s) in a relevant field
