The Role

We are seeking suitably qualified and experienced professionals to support the delivery of complex Defence capability outcomes across a range of program, project, engineering and logistics functions.

Working within integrated teams, successful candidates will contribute specialist expertise, collaborate with key stakeholders and support the achievement of critical capability objectives in a fast-paced Defence environment.

Project Schedule Management – (L3 Advanced Practitioner):

We are seeking an experienced Program Scheduler to support the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of integrated schedules within a complex Defence capability environment.

Working as part of a dedicated program controls team, you will develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), integrating inputs from multiple stakeholders to provide a comprehensive view of program activities, milestones, dependencies and delivery timelines. You will undertake schedule analysis, monitor progress against approved baselines, identify risks and emerging issues, and provide scheduling insights to support program governance and informed decision-making.

The role will also contribute to the development of scheduling standards, schedule management practices and capability uplift activities, while supporting stakeholder engagement across multidisciplinary teams operating in a complex and highly regulated environment.

The role location is Canberra – ACT and an NV1 clearance is required for this role.

About You

You are an experienced Scheduler or Program Controls professional with demonstrated experience developing and managing complex project or program schedules within Defence, government or large-scale delivery environments.

You will demonstrate experience in:

  • Developing, maintaining and analysing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
  • Coordinating and integrating schedule inputs from multiple stakeholders and delivery streams
  • Establishing and maintaining schedule baselines, dependencies, assumptions and constraints
  • Conducting critical path, schedule health and schedule performance analysis
  • Identifying schedule risks, issues, trends and opportunities to support proactive program delivery
  • Supporting program governance, reporting and decision-making activities through accurate schedule analysis
  • Applying scheduling methodologies, standards and best practices to ensure schedule integrity and auditability
  • Using enterprise scheduling tools to manage and maintain schedule data
  • Engaging with stakeholders across technical, project and program delivery functions
  • Supporting knowledge transfer, mentoring and continuous improvement initiatives

You possess strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to interpret complex information, provide evidence-based advice and contribute to the successful delivery of large and complex programs.
